F/S Douglas See was only 20, on that night August 10th 1943, when his Halifax bomber JD257 on a raid on Mannhiem was lost. It was his eleventh operation as Upper Mid-Gunner. Contained here are letters send to his parents in Toronto in 1948 in regards to the reburial of their son. The letter explains the problems with proper identification of the bodies. On May 15th. 1949 the family of F/O Wright, a fellow crewmember on JD257 dedicated a memorial window to F/O Wright and the crew the Halifax lost on that night. The church was sold in 2006 and I am tring to trace the window.
