Crew of Wellington Z1597

Wellington Z1597 VR-T While returning from a mining operation in Ile De Croix and Lorient Estuary, the Wellington came with in 125 miles of Mildenhall. While decending below the clouds to find thier position they hit a tree on the hillside near RAF Station Upavon at Oare, Malboro,Wiltshire.
All on board were killed in the accident. As can be seen below the aircraft was carrying two pilots and three Wireless/Air Gunners.
Sadly the records of the squadron as I found and as others have found do not shown Z1597 or Murphy's crew listed in the squadron ORB for that operation. To show how well the records of this date were kept the year marked on the first sheet for July show the year as 1932!
