Crew of Halifax JD215

Halifax JD215 set off for a raid on Cologne Germany at 23:04 hours from Middleton St. George and was attacked by a night fighter of Luftwaffe Stl/NJG1, crashing in the early hours of the morning at Waalre near Eindhoven, The Netherlands.
F/O Fowler had only been with 419 for 18 days and was on his 8th mission with the squadron. F/L Raine was the squadron signal leader and had almost completed his second tour of duty. The other crew members were on their 2 to 4th operations.
