Crew of Halifax BB283

Like so many crews who are lost the actual cause of the loss of the men of Halifax BB283 is unknown. Tragic in that so little is known about each of these men.
Being with the squadron for such a short time leaves very little written about them in the documents of the squadron. Only a mere mention in the squadron log,along with a short line in the book of the squadron war time historyhistory.
All I can offer to show for these seven young men's sacrifice is their names, and in some cases their ages and photographs. Even the information on their home towns is not available for some of them.

What little there is in the way of information is that the crew's captain Sgt. Robert Francis Beckett, completed his two operations as 2nd. Pilot on March 1st. and March 3rd of 1943. The squadron ORB records seem to have only entered crews by their captain's name during this period. And then only if they were Officers, no listing of Sgt. Beckett or his crew are in the February or March Summaries.
The crew's first operation together was on the night of March 28/29, leaving their base at19:40 hours headed for St. Nazaire. No more was heard from them after the Halifax passed from view of the ground crews.
